The start of Secondary 2 leads to more advanced topics that’s a big jump from Secondary 1: 

Mainly, the introduction of Trigonometry. 

Many students dread the moment they are introduced to sine, cosine, and tangent. It’s an alien language to them! This is where most fall into the trap of just memorizing values as a short term fix rather than understanding them.
